The standard Fried Egg newsletter will return on Wednesday for a preview of the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii. This edition is all about Fried Egg events! Registration for the early portion of our schedule opens today at 12 p.m. ET.

2022 Fried Egg Events

All of our events are 36-hole affairs, and your registration fee covers golf, tee gifts, all meals for the day, and prizes. Both two-person teams and singles are welcome. Below you’ll find information on the four events that will open for registration today.

The King Tide at Charleston Municipal – Saturday, April 2 – First up is a trip to Charleston and a visit to one of the coolest municipal courses in the country. Held on the Saturday before Masters week, the King Tide will take place at Charleston Municipal Golf Course, which Troy Miller recently redesigned in the vein of Seth Raynor. This event will also feature a collaboration with Fore the Ladies, which helps introduce women to golf and pair up women for games around the country. Fore the Ladies will be hosting an Intro-to-Golf Clinic during the King Tide, and FTL members will have access to reserved spots in the event.

The Boomerang at Soule Park – Saturday, April 23 – For our second event of the year, we head to Ojai, California—just two hours from Los Angeles. Redesigned by Gil Hanse in the mid-2000s, Soule Park is a delightful municipal course in an idyllic setting. We’ll also have a post-golf food truck and plenty of local beers at the ready. The Steam Shovel at Lawsonia Links – Saturday, May 14 –  The original Fried Egg event was the 2019 Steam Shovel at Lawsonia, and we’re going back for a third edition this year! Located in Green Lake, Wisconsin, Lawsonia Links is among the best values in golf. We’ll be around for a Friday-night fish fry before the event, and there will be plenty of bratwurst for those in attendance on Saturday. Lottery for the Coup de Grâce at the Dunes Club – Thursday, May 26 – Thirty-two players will be selected by random draw for our second annual match-play battle at the Dunes Club. The lottery is free to enter and will be open Monday, January 3, through Friday, January 7. We will notify the winners on Monday, January 10. The Dunes Club was Mike Keiser’s first foray into the golf-course business and an important precedent for the resorts at Bandon Dunes, Sand Valley, and Cabot. The Coup de Grâce will consist of 36 holes of single-elimination match play. Players will alternate between best-ball and alternate-shot formats throughout the day, and everyone will play 36 holes regardless of when they get knocked out.
