After a year break, Fried Egg Golf is returning to Charleson Municipal Golf Course, AKA “The Muni,” for the second edition of The King Tide. A staple of the local community, Muni underwent a major Seth Raynor inspired renovation in recent years with architect Troy Miller. Raynor’s influence can be found in local clubs CC of Charleston and Yeaman’s Hall, leading Miller and team to bring some Raynor style to the public. It’s a very unique property for a municipal golf course and offers a fun take on the great architect.

What’s “The King Tide” ?
As with any seaside city, Charleston and the surrounding area is used to the changing of the tides, the largest of which are known as King Tides. Before Muni was renovated, a portion of the course was very susceptible to those tides and frequently flooded. The recent renovation has helped to keep that water away in recent years and the course plays very firm.
