The Masters social media team has done a bang-up job this year, as has become routine over the last decade. For the first time I can remember, we even got a photo of the signup sheet for the par-3 contest.

Some thoughts:
There is a batch of folks who got their names in early and whoever wrote their names down has *excellent* penmanship. Really top-notch stuff. Although they did misspell Erik van Rooyen’s name. You know that will come up in the performance review.
I would pay good money to split a few bottles of red wine with Trevor Immelman, Adam Scott, and Ian Woosnam.
Whoever signed for Scottie Scheffler, Sam Burns, and Tom Kim hates uppercase letters, apparently. It makes me deeply uncomfortable.
The Canadians just can’t help themselves. Must. Stick. Together.
Couples/Mize/Henley/Shipley: legends in their own right who don’t need to bother with first names. Plus Russell Henley.
This is exactly what should happen with the threesome of Gary Player, Erik van Rooyen, and Christo Lamprecht:

Rickie Fowler writes like a dirt biker who flies on Puma’s private jet. I really respect the commitment to the bit.
Love that everyone gave a Shotgun Start favorite, Mr. Thorbjorn Olesen himself, plenty of space.
It’s terrific that Viktor Hovland’s signature is heavily influenced by his favorite music genre, heavy metal.
Sepp Straka needs to take some more time with the pen. Not good. Same for Willy Z. And Si Woo. Yeesh.
Did someone write a heart next to Tony Finau’s name?
I want to write my name like Cameron Davis when I grow up.
Pavon Matthieu. Please address him as such.
Faldo has to be giving Hatton some shit this afternoon, yeah? It’s the perfect place to get off some LIV jabs without any possible retribution.
The threesome of Stew Hagestad, Jake Knapp, and Eric Cole could not be more different in terms of body type. I love it.
That’s enough. Enjoy the Masters.
