Is it just me or has world-ranking discourse died down recently? Has LIV given up or did I just mute enough of their patsy accounts?
Need a recap on the WOWgr rules?
Vol. 2023.12
No. 1 – Rose Zhang (no change) – The best.
No. 3 – J.R. Smith (Up 1,033) – No idea if this documentary on his experience as a college golfer will be any good but the trailer is, at least.
No. 4 – Rory McIlroy’s 2022 Masters celebration (Up 773) – There have been many weird golf celebrations over the years, but Rory’s uncontrollable arm spin after holing out for birdie on the 72nd hole of the Masters is the freshest in our memory. Thankfully for Rory, he’s off the hook, as an amateur holed out (for albatross) during the LPGA Drive On Pro-Am and proceeded to have this awkward exchange with one of his playing partners:
Amateur Albatross 💥
What are the chances?!

No. 7 – Will Knights (Up 561) – I don’t want full credit for Jason Day’s comeback, but I would like a little bit. After all, I did predict it.
No. 9 – The Jordan Spieth Experience ™ (Up 21) – The Valspar final round was an adventure and a half, and then he made this ridiculous par at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.
No. 15 – Jumping the gun (Up 983) – A couple of months ago, social media had all sorts of speculation that LIV Golf was buying property near Augusta National to host its own version of the Masters. It turns out that project has nothing to do with LIV, because of course it didnt.
No. 99 – Taylor Moore (up 31) – No offense to Taylor, but his win at the Valspar is likely to go down as the least memorable victory of the year, and it’s not really his fault. He wasn’t shown much on the broadcast until late on Sunday and even after he won the story was about Jordan Spieth and Adam Schenk’s tree incident. A win is a win and I’m sure Moore doesn’t care how it happened, but that was a very odd scene on Sunday.
No. 231 – Will Zalatoris (Down 167) – We gotta get the game figured out, Willy Z. He was drubbed in both of his first two matches at the WGC Match Play and entered the week with finishes of T-53 and 73rd in his last two starts. His putting has been dreadful, and his iron game, while still great, has also fallen off. Hopefully he can get it dialed in and earn his third straight top-10 finish at the Masters.
No. 1,241 – Limited edition staff bags (no change) – They look cool, but where do they all go? Are there just thousands of lightly used staff bags in garbage dumps? Are they all used as decoration? Where are the bags?
