Nine years after Jordan Spieth’s dramatic 2015 U.S. Open victory at Chambers Bay, Fried Egg Golf heads to Puget Sound on Spieth’s birthday (it’s a pure coincidence but maybe we’ll celebrate) for the first edition of The Sound. Two rounds of primetime summer golf on a major championship venue sounds pretty good right about now.

Fried Egg Golf Content on Chambers Bay

It’s Time for Chambers Bay to Get Another Major – After watching the 2022 U.S. Women’s Amateur at Chambers Bay, Garrett Morrison joined Andy Johnson to discuss the course, its history with major competitive events, and why it deserves more major championships in the future.

Why you should see Chambers Bay

An hour south of Seattle, Chambers Bay offers some of the best architecture and one of the best settings for golf in the Pacific Northwest. Its firm conditions and wide corridors provide a unique playing experience not often found in America. Chambers is a unique venue that combines a scenic landscape with sharp, man-made features, an aesthetic that’s difficult to pull off in golf course design.

In the area

What’s not to love about Seattle in the summertime? An hour from the city center, Chambers Bay is an easy travel day for those wanting to stay downtown. We’re heading to the region during their dry season so you can pack in as many days of tourist activities, take a trip out on the water on one of Seattle’s many ferrys, or visit the region’s many wineries with ease. For our outdoors enthusiasts, Olympic National Park and Mount Rainier National Park are also terrific places to visit while you’re in town. For those looking for more golf while they’re in town, we’d also recommend the Olympic Course at Gold Mountain and The Home Course.

What is “The Sound”?

Chambers Bay may not be seaside, but it is sound side. The Puget Sound provides the western vista to the golf course, allowing golfers a scenic setting on which to play a Fried Egg Golf event…or a U.S. Open. Or perhaps “The Sound” refers to the whistle of the train you’ll be sure to see at some point during the day. Make “The Sound” your own.
