Hello Club TFE!
Jay Rigdon here, filling in for the vacationing Will Knights. It’s the weekend (or it will be soon, depending on when you’re reading this), which means it’s time for us to have a chat. But first, some business.

Your Weekly Question
Will’s instructions for me left plenty of latitude, which is how we arrived at this week’s topic: golf (and general sports) conspiracy theories. Joel Beall wrote a fascinating article looking back at the famous 2000 PGA moment that saw Tiger Woods seemingly benefit from a ricochet that defied physics. It’s worth reading, and it has us thinking:
What’s your favorite golf (or, if you like, sports) conspiracy theory? It can be your own personal pet theory or, like Tiger at Valhalla, one that has generated widespread debate for years now. Feel free to discuss in the comments, along with anything else from the weekend in golf that strikes your interests.
It’s been a pleasure prompting you all, and I’ll leave you with this song choice, as the golf world heads to Valhalla next week.
Hopefully your weekend is excellent and includes some combination of watching/playing/thinking about golf. (And if you’re a neutral, please consider sparing a thought for my Indiana Pacers.)
