This morning, I got a good question on Bluesky:

My slightly unsatisfying answer: it’s just hard to find landforms that replicate those of the 13th at Augusta National — the pronounced (but not ridiculous) tilt of the land, the winding path taken by the creek, and so on. It’s a unique piece of terrain.
Of course, a modern architect could manufacture all of these features.
So I’ll toss it to you, Club TFE members:
1. Which holes that you’ve played seem at least partly inspired by 13 at Augusta?
2. If you can’t think of many (or any), why do you think replicas of this extremely famous and revered hole are not more common?
