Welcome to the end of the week. For TFE staffer Garrett, the weekend actually started yesterday, after the Portland, Oregon, area received near-record snowfall and school was canceled. Isn’t it weird how the phrase “Snow Day” becomes sinister as soon as you have school-age kids?
Anyway, as always, the comment section is yours. Introduce yourself if you’re new. If you’re fortunate enough not to live in the Pacific Northwest, perhaps you’re playing golf this weekend. Where are you going? And hey: anyone recognize the course and hole in the header image?
Club TFE housekeeping
We had our second monthly virtual hangout yesterday, and… our video-conferencing software lost the recording. Sorry! We’ll look to do an extra hangout in the next month to make it up to ya.
From our merch team: we now have international shipping for everything in our photography shop, and remember to use the code CLUBTFEMEMBER for your 10% discount in the pro shop. Also, we’ll have some new hats for sale early next week.
Your Friday question
Whether the 10th hole at Riviera actually stinks became a hot topic among golf nerds last week. The discussion got us thinking about short par 4s in general.
What are some of your favorite diminutive par 4s, drivable or not? What, in your opinion, makes a strong short 4?
The ice of Portland isn’t yet muddy, but it’s getting there. Thank you for supporting The Fried Egg.
