Weekend Chat: Golf Holidays

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Normally I don’t write Weekend Chats on Saturdays (because people have better things to do), but with the long weekend I decided it was time to have a catchup. We haven’t talked in a little while given timing of a couple recent Course Profiles but it’s time to get back to our roots and get that comment section fired up. It’s down yonder. Club TFE Housekeeping

We had a couple late dropouts for our Iowa Road Trip next month and I have a couple spots I need filled. If you are available to play Cedar Rapids CC on Wednesday, September 11 and/or Davenport Country Club on Thursday, September 12, please shoot me an email at will@thefriedegg.com.

Weekly question

I’d argue that Labor Day Weekend is one of the best weekends of the year. It ends the summer, begins the best month of the year, and it’s largely the best weather for everywhere in the country. It might even be the best golf weekend of the year. But that got me thinking, is there another weekend on the calendar that’s better to play golf? If so, what is it and why?
